I've been looking for good sleep socks on Amazon ever since the merino wool that I bought 12 years ago wore out. Finally, I found these fleece socks that were available in large sizes, so I tried a pair. I purposely ordered a size larger than indicated by my shoe size so that I could keep my feet warm without limiting circulation. These far exceeded my expectations, and may even be more comfortable than the merino socks I had loved so much. I immediately ordered a second pair as a hedge against future wear-outs, then a third pair to give to my adult daughter. These socks manage to be warm without being oppressive, and aren't scratchy like the rough wool hunting socks from Canada.
