These socks are very comfortable and cozy. However, the bottom of the foot is quite thin and feels not at all padded, so my legs are warm, but my feet are not. That's disappointing since the description promises "thick cushioning in the footbed".Also, any movement causes the socks to slip down, though I must note that I assumed these were compression-style socks and ordered rather larger than I would normally wear (I'm usually about a 9.5 - 10 women's shoe, roughly 8.5 men's, and I ordered a large). A medium might stay up better.Had I intended these as hiking socks, I would be bitterly disappointed. As it is, I will be using these as night socks, for which they are fine, hence the four stars.These socks are very nice but run way to large, I ordered med but they fit more like X large.These socks are so soft and silky. I wouldn't have imagined that for merino wool but they are excellent. I bought another pair in a different color and I'm so happy that I'm gonna go back for more.Yes, the socks are wool, however the inside is an acrylic material…not 100 percent wool thru and thru… a little disappointed as I prefer total 100% wool…..hard to find…years ago my sister gave me a bag of 100% wool which she got from a thrift/goodwill/Salvation Army store…I am sure socks are warm, just not what I had in mind….Love these socksNeeded a new pair of hiking socks, and didn't want to pay $25 for a brand name. These are great! I've only worn them a couple of months, so we'll see how long they hold up (but the last pair of $25 socks I bought didn't hold up well ... a reason why I looked elsewhere this time...) I think the fiber content is probably accurate. They are thick, squishy socks, but I've been comfortable wearing them on hot, humid hikes. They are mid-calf, not knee high, as is apparent from the product image.Could use more stitched form in the arch support and such, but otherwise great.This was a great gift idea to get my church family for Christmas. I got myself a pair. Couldn't be happier with the warmth and comfort. The feedback from those I gave this too made other people jealous that I gave such good and well liked gifts this past Christmas. Here and I thought giving socks was kinda boring. I tell you what ISN'T boring, having warm feet when it is cold.Comfortable and supportive, great for wearing under my walking boots. Loved them so much I bought my dad a pair :-)Good socks for cold weather activities.I love knee socks for winter and these are comfortable and wash well.
